Puppets, set designs and more from local animation studio SHADOWMACHINE


World renowned animation studio SHADOWMACHINE captivates viewers of all ages with two dynamic exhibitions in PDX’s North and South display cases post-security within PDX’s new Concourse Connector. On view through July 2025, the exhibitions highlight the artistry of stop animation film making and the talented Portland-based team at SHADOWMACHINE.

North display case, Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio

The North side display case features puppets and set designs from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio which was animated and produced by SHADOWMACHINE. This award winning film has delighted audiences around the world and now passengers at PDX can enjoy characters from the movie along with behind the scenes footage of the movie’s production.

The South side exhibition display features puppets and set designs from various television and movie projects SHADOWMACHINE has animated and produced including Nickelodeon’s Tiny Chef, Peacock’s In the Know, and an animated sequence from Annapurna’s BOOKSMART. Two monitors in the display case feature footage from Tiny Chef and In the Know while a third monitor highlights the talented team at SHADOWMACHINE.
